To work out how much in m3 you will need for your project, you need to be able to work out the area of the space you wish to fill and then how deep you want the fill to be.
To calculate m3 - LENGTH X WIDTH X DEPTH
EXAMPLE:
If you want to fill a series of 10 flower borders with bark and each border space is 0.4m x 1.2m, then the area of each flower border = 0.48m2 and if you would like bark to a depth of 10cm then you need to multiply the area 0.48m2 by 0.1m (10cm expressed in metres). This makes each flower border 0.048m3
So you will need about 0.5m3 to complete your job.
